What pandemics affected Portuguese urban spaces during the Middle Ages? How did these diseases spread and what measures were taken by the municipal authorities? What social and political consequences have resulted from these epidemiological outbreaks?
\nThe guest for this interview was Am\u00e9lia Aguiar Andrade, full professor of medieval history at the Faculdade de Ci\u00eancias Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa and researcher at the Instituto de Estudos Medievais. He is a specialist in urban, economic, and maritime history, and will talk to us about “Medieval Portuguese urban spaces in the face of pandemics”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
