Biographical note

PhD in Social History from PUC-São Paulo (2004), with post-doctoral training in Social History at the University of Porto-Portugal (2010-2011) and Master in History from the Universidade Federal da Bahia (1995). Full professor at the Universidade do Estado da Bahia-UNEB, where she teaches undergraduate History and is a permanent member of the Masters in Regional and Local History at Campus V – Santo Antônio de Jesus, where she is the coordinator, and of the Postgraduate Program in History Teaching (PROFHISTÓRIA). She is a collaborating researcher at the Transdisciplinary Research Center Culture, Space, Memory (CITCEM) at the University of Porto and at the Research Group REGIONAL AND LOCAL NETWORKS IN HISTORY (UNEB) and at the Working Group of Atlantic History and African Diaspora (ANPUH-Bahia Section). He has experience in the fields of teaching and research in history, education, and cultural-artistic heritage, with a specialty in the History of Bahia and Brazil. The main performance in the field of historical knowledge is on themes of Political, Social and Cultural History of Bahia, Biography and trajectories of Afro-Brazilian populations, Institutional History, History of Work and the socio-political, cultural and educational organization of the working class, literature and the city. She has published several articles in the press, magazines, and collections, and has participated as a debater, lecturer, and speaker in round tables, seminars, lectures, and congresses. He has published the books “A Arte de ter um Ofício: Liceu de Artes e Ofícios da Bahia – 1872-1996”, in which he recovers the institutional history in different socio-political and cultural contexts with a focus on the universes of labor, education, and culture; and “Manuel Querino entre Letras e Lutas – Bahia: 1851-1923”, in which he discusses, from a biography, socio-political and cultural transformations in the world of urban labor.
