D. in Literary, Cultural and Interartistic Studies from the Faculty of Letters, University of Porto, with the thesis entitled “Women’s Epic Poetry in Portugal: the Memorials of Soror Maria de Mesquita Pimentel (17th century)”. She has a degree in Languages (Portuguese Language and Portuguese Literature) from the State University of Rio Grande do Norte and a master’s degree in Language Studies, with an emphasis on Comparative Literature, from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. Currently, her main research interest is Portuguese Literature of the 17th and 18th centuries, more specifically conventual women’s literature and female-authored epic poetry. He also collaborates in the study and transcription of manuscript works from the 16th-18th centuries.
