D. in Contemporary History from the Faculdade de Letras da Universidade do Porto with the thesis Imagens e representações de Portugal. António Ferro and the elaboration of the Nation’s identity. He has a Post-Doctoral in History at the same institution, with the project: SNI e SEIT (1944-1974): The History of a New State Institution. Assistant Professor at Escola Superior de Educação do Politécnico do Porto. Integrated researcher at CITCEM and collaborating researcher at InEd (Center for Research and Innovation in Education, ESE). Her research areas within contemporary cultural history are: cultural policies and organizations of authoritarian/totalitarian regimes, with focus on the Portuguese case, Portuguese cinema and tourism in the Estado Novo, Portuguese folklorist studies in the 19th and 20th centuries, in connection with national identity issues. She is the author of several articles in national and international journals related to these themes.
