Degree in History, variant of Archeology, from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto (2002 – Engineer António de Almeida Award).
PhD in Archaeology from FLUP (2015), with the thesis “Germanic” occupation in the Early Middle Ages in Portugal: the necropolises from the 5th to 8th centuries (CITCEM/Afrontamento Award 2016 “UNIVERSITY THESIS”, published in November 2017, with the title O mundo funerário na Antiguidade Tardia em Portugal: as necrópoles dos séculos V a VIII).
Integrated researcher at CITCEM – Center for Transdisciplinary Research “Culture, Space and Memory”, she is author and co-author of national and international publications with scientific arbitration. Her privileged area of research focuses on the altimedeval funerary world and associated materialities, ethnicity studies, and the historiography of archaeology.
Between 2002 and 2010 he assumed scientific responsibility in dozens of preventive archeological works. Currently, she maintains the connection to the archaeological field practice as the investigator in charge of Project GUIFARQ II – Guifões Archaeological Research Project, in the scope of which she co-directs the excavations annually implemented in the site.
